McDONNELL - Thomas Gregory (Rush, Ringsend, Boston and Oughterard). April 6, 2020. On Tom’s First Anniversary Kate, Jude and Phoebe would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all the friends, family, and colleagues who have supported us in so many ways in the year since his death. While you could not be with us your cards, letters, emails, phone, Zoom and WhatsApp calls, texts, flowers and gifts and your many kindnesses lifted us up and touched us deeply and we are truly grateful. We would like to say a special thank you to our fantastic neighbours for sustaining us throughout the year and especially in the days and weeks immediately after Tom’s death, to friends who attended the funeral, and those of you who been there with us every step of the way. We would like to thank Edwina Fitzgerald, Funeral Director, for her professionalism and care during that first week and Clair O’Reilly, Celebrant, for making the ten person service so intimate and meaningful. Ongoing Covid restrictions have prevented us having a memorial service and so today we will remember and celebrate Tom as the unique person he was.
