GRIFFIN (née Walsh), Helen (Rathgar and formerly of Dartry, Dublin) March 12, 2012 (peacefully) in the tender care of the staff of Orwell House Nursing Home, Rathgar. Predeceased by her eldest son Michael, her brother Rory, her sister Una and her grandchildren Thomas and Mary. Will be deeply missed by Frank, her loving husband of 61 wonderful years. Cherished and loving mother of Gerard, Mary Paula, Fiona, Fran and Peter. Will be sadly missed by her sons-in-law Jerry and Walti, daughters-in-law Catherine, Patricia and Juliet, her sisters Joyce, Maeve and Siobhan, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, her adoring 19 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Rest in Peace. Reposing in Fanagans Funeral Home, Dundrum today (Wednesday) from 3.00 o'c prior to her Removal to the Church of the Good Shepherd, Churchtown arriving at 5.15 o'clock Funeral Mass tomorrow (Thursday) morning at 10.00 o'c followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul."Make me a channel of your Peace"
GRIFFIN (Helen) - In Loving memory of Helen Griffin (née Walsh) who died March the 12th 2012. On this the first Anniversary of Helen's death, her husband Frank and children Gerard, Mary Paula, Fiona, Frank and Peter and their families, her sisters Joyce, Maeve and Siobhan would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who sympathised with us and provided comfort and support to us on our sad loss. We greatly appreciate the kindness of extended family, friends, neighbours and colleagues who attended with us at the removal, funeral Mass and burial especially those who travelled long distances to be with us. We thank all those who sent flowers, Mass Cards, messages of sympathy and donations to St Vincent de Paul. Your tributes and kind words were a source of much comfort to us. We thank all those who supported Helen and the family during her illness. We remember in particular the Nursing staff and carers at Orwell House Nursing Home who cared for Helen with such kindness. We are deeply grateful to Fr. Dermot Nestor for officiating at Helen's funeral Mass and for the support and assistance provided to us in preparing for her funeral. We thank Fanagan's Undertakers for assisting us in making the funeral arrangements in such a professional and caring manner. We remember Helen's late family her son Michael, his wife Anne, her grandchildren Thomas and Mary her brother Rory and sister Una at this time. Please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions. We miss Helen and treasure the time we had with her.
