HONE, (née D’Arcy) Dr. Rosemary, retired Consultant Microbiologist, Mater and James Connolly Memorial Hospitals. August 1, 2024. Unexpectedly at home. Beloved wife of the late David (past President of The Royal Hibernian Academy) and loving mother of Stephen, David and Juliet. Predeceased by her sisters Judith and Clare and nephew Jacob. She will be very sadly missed by her loving children, daughters-in-law Andra Bobart-Hone and Julie Hone, son-in-law James Kenny, grandchildren Olivia, Clara, Alice, Harry and the twins Stevie and Jamie, sister Margaretta D’Arcy, her nephews Sean Thompson, and his wife Mary, Michael Pollitt, and Finn, Naoise and Adam Arden, extended family, friends and wonderful neighbours, especially Paddy and Ellen Sides. Reposing at Rom Massey & Sons Funeral Home, 6 Cranford Centre, Stillorgan Road, Dublin 4, D04 X446 (opposite UCD Flyover), on Sunday afternoon, August 11, from 3 pm to 5 pm. A Funeral Service to celebrate Rosemary’s life will take place at the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium, D6W HY98, on Wednesday, August 14, at 2:30 pm.
