RAFFERTY - Mark (late of Collins Avenue, Waterford, formerly of Swords, Sandymount and Malahide) who left us suddenly on February 12, 2020. On this the First Anniversary of Mark’s passing, his wife Orla, mother Margaret and the Rafferty Family would like to acknowledge with sincere and heartfelt gratitude all the love, kindness, support and kind sentiments shown to us by all of our families, friends, neighbours and colleagues. We would like to thank you most sincerely for all the kind expressions of sympathy and support that we received at the time of Mark’s passing. For those who presented cards and messages of condolences, as well as those who made charitable donations, we are truly grateful. We would also like to thank those who attended the funeral Mass, in particular those who travelled to pay their respects to Mark. Our sincere and deepest appreciation to Fr John McDonagh and Fr Cormac McIllraith, St Mary's, Star of the Sea, Sandymount for their words of comfort and understanding, prayers and celebrating the Funeral Mass.
To our extended families, friends, neighbours and colleagues - your emotional and practical support, kindness, companionship and friendship are much appreciated, and will never be forgotten. A special thanks to Luke and Anthony, from Luke Hennessy Funeral Directors, Waterford, for their kindness, support, professionalism, and patience.
To those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude and sincere appreciation.
To laugh often and much;
to win the respect of
intelligent people and
the affection of children,
to leave the world a better place,
to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived,
that is to have succeeded.
