CONNOLLY, Sean, (Baylin, Athlone), (died June 12, 2009) - Sean's wife Deirdre, children Stephen and Aoife, mother Jean, brother Gerard, sister Susan offer their sincere gratitude and appreciation to all those who helped, supported and sympathised with them on Sean's death. To those who called to the house and attended Sean's funeral in such huge numbers many who travelling long distances we will always remember you. We are most grateful for your kindness and support during Sean's illness and thank all those who visited him in both Galway and Roscommon Hospitals and at home. To all who made donations to the Irish Hospice Foundation, sent Mass Cards and wrote such wonderful letters of support, thank you. To Sean's friends, family and work colleagues whose friendship and kindness throughout his illness gave him courage and kept his spirits high we thank you. Sincere thanks to Mr. Maccon Keane, the Oncology team and all involved in Sean's care at UCHG. Also the wonderful staff at Roscommon County Hospital who made Sean so welcome and comfortable in their care in his final days. To all our wonderful friends and neighbours who visited our home, assisted with catering and organised parking we will be forever grateful. Thanks to the many sporting and business organisations which formed Guards of Honour at the house and at the church. A special thanks to our three priests Fr. Pat Kiernan, Fr Liam Farrell and Monsignor Bernard Noonan, who were and continue to be so supportive throughout this difficult time. To the wonderful choir from Kilcleagh N.S. the musicians, and all who participated in the Liturgy of the Word at Sean's Requiem Mass we thank you. As it would not be possible to thank each person individually we would like to ask that this acknowledgement be accepted as a token of our appreciation and gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for the intention of all. Sean was a true gentleman and a friend to all and your genuine support to the family is testament to how highly he was regarded. Sean's First Anniversary Mass is Saturday June 12 at 8p.m. in Corpus Christi, Mount Temple, Moate.
