Sister Verity Anne was solemnly professed on 5th November 1957. The Clarendons were a celebrated Irish Clerical family, especially in the Diocese of Dromore. Her death to this life marks the end, at least for now, of Religious Life under vows in Irish Anglicanism. The subsidiary title of her Order was ‘Sisters of the Love of Jesus’. My experience of the Sisters over a fifty year period, for a time as their Chaplain, was that they strived to live and share that Love. They were a blessing and they were blessed. ‘Make them to be numbered with Thy Saints in glory everlasting’.
