SCHOLEFIELD, Derek Arthur (Howth, Co. Dublin and formerly Yorkshire) – November 21, 2017, peacefully at home, beloved husband of the late Gráinne (née Stewart), brother of the late Reg and much loved father of Michael, Ann Marie, Bridget and his precious stillborn daughter; sadly missed by his loving son, daughters, sons-in-law Peter and Jeremy, daughter-in-law Rachel, grandchildren Olivia, Ben, Joe, Killian, Lizzie, Sarah, Anna and Maedhbh, his sister Kathleen, nephews, nieces, his loyal friend Joan, extended family, friends and neighbours. Reposing at his home today (Thursday) from 5.00pm until 8.00pm. Removal tomorrow (Friday) morning to the Church of the Assumption, Howth arriving for 11.00am Funeral Mass, thereafter to St. Fintan’s Cemetery, Sutton. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to the Irish Tinnitus Association or St. Francis Hospice, Raheny.
SCHOLEFIELD Dr. Derek Arthur - As we remember with much love Derek, whose First Anniversary occurs today, we, his son Michael and his daughters, Ann Marie and Bridget, along with our spouses and children and his sister Kathleen, wish to thank sincerely those who offered us their sympathy on our loss. Thank you to those who attended the repose, the funeral Mass and to all who sent us so many cards and letters. We are especially grateful to Derek's wonderful friends (especially those in Probus), former colleagues, neighbours and carers who were of such support and comfort to him. Please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our warmest gratitude and appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
