VERNON, John H., (aged 76), (late of Galway and Milford, Massachusetts), (peacefully) on January 27, 2017. Son of the late Herbert and Netta (née Morrissey) Vernon. Survived by his wife Concepta B. ( née O'Connor) Vernon and his three daughters; Helen M. Ciesla and her husband John of Milford; Sheila M. Vernon of Milford; Niave F. Knell and her husband Andrew of Fort Leonard Wood, MO; a son, David T. Vernon of Milford; three brothers, Robert Vernon and William Vernon (Ireland), and Ray Vernon and his wife Cindy of Plymouth, MA; one sister, Elizabeth Foster (Ireland); and five grandsons, Josh C. Sobchak, Adam M. Knell, Nathaniel G. Sobchak, Matthew J. Knell, and Joseph A. Knell. He was predeceased by two sisters, Patricia Crowley and Anne Dalton (Ireland). Visiting hours will be held tomorrow (Tuesday), January 31, 2017 from 4-8 pm at the Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home, 42 Congress Street, Milford. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday February 1, 2017 at 9 am from the Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Cedar Street (Route 85), Milford. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at http://www.alz.org/ or to The Friends of the Milford Upper Charles Trail at http://milfordtrail.org. www.bumafuneralhome.com
