COLLEY - Mary (neé Doolan), - As we remember our much loved and dearly missed mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, mother-in-law and friend around the first anniversary of her death on November 1, 2021 we, her family, would like to express our thanks and appreciation for the love and support shown to us around that time. To those who joined with us in celebrating her long and varied life at her funeral mass in Donnybrook Parish church, whether in person or online, also at Templeogue Cemetery where she was laid to rest with her beloved George, and to those who sent letters, cards and messages of condolence, sympathy and support, we are really grateful for your thoughts, stories and prayers. We thank Monsignor Ciarán O’Carroll and Fr. Kieran O’Mahony in Donnybrook Parish for their support and kindness, and particularly Monsignor O’Carroll for his celebration of the Mass; we also thank Fanagans for their guidance and caring professionalism, and Barbara Galvin Sheridan whose beautiful singing enriched the meaning of the funeral Mass for us. We wish to express our particular gratitude and appreciation to all the staff of Bloomfield Hospital, Rathfarnham, especially in New Lodge Nursing Home there, who gave exceptional care and love to Mary for the last eight years of her life. Knowing that she was so content, and in a place where she felt at home, was a wonderful reassurance for us. Mary was a warm, engaging and caring friend, and was blessed in her friends in turn. Having led a busy and interesting life over her ninety-five years, she made new friends wherever she went, and loved being involved with them in her many and varied pursuits. We include them all in our thoughts and thanks, particularly those who visited her during her illness. Our memories of her kindness, generosity and warmth will be cherished forever.
