McGING, McGing, Sr. Helen, (Mary), Dominican Convent, Sion Hill, Blackrock, Co. Dublin. May 24, 2024, (peacefully), at Santa Sabina House Nursing Home. Daughter of the late Philip and Lena (née Staunton) McGing. Predeceased by her brother Fr. Aidan and sister Nuala (Drennan). Helen will be sadly missed by her sister Helen, brother-in-law Declan, her nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, her Dominican Community, extended family and friends. Rest in Peace. Requiem Mass today Monday at the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, Booterstown Avenue on Monday, (May 27, 2024) at 2.00p.m. followed by burial at the Sion Hill Convent Cemetery. Sister Helen was a wonderful collaborator regarding the history of the McGing families. Informed, thorough and gracious, she was open to new ideas and so down to earth. I never got to meet her in person but I considered her a friend and colleague, and I will miss her.
