TIERNEY, Denis, (Rathvilly, Co. Carlow and formerly of Lakelands, Stillorgan, Co. Dublin), April 23, 2017, (peacefully) after a short illness. Beloved husband of Brigid (née Farrell) and precious father of Úna and Roísán. Is reunited with his late daughter Cathy. Very sadly missed and remembered with much affection and love by his family and friends especially the apple of his eye his granddaughter Fiona, his brothers Michael, Niall and Myles, extended family and a wide circle of friends. Denis will repose in Halligan's Funeral Home, Station Road, Rathvilly from 5 pm today (Monday) concluding with prayers at 8.30 pm. A Mass for a celebration of his life will take place tomorrow (Tuesday) at 12 noon in St. Patrick's Church, Rathvilly and he will be laid to rest in Rathvilly Cemetery afterwards. With grateful thanks to the outstanding staff of St. Vincent's public and private hospitals for their amazing care. May Denis Rest in Peace.
