MULDOWNEY Paul, (Strandhill, Co. Sligo and formerly Blackrock, Co. Dublin, Ex Irish Press) June 12, 2017. Peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Sadly missed by his devoted wife Bernadette (Bernie), daughter Ann-Marie, son John-Paul (J.P.), son-in-law Paul, brother Gerard, sister Kit, sister-in-law Rose and his extended family. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church, Geevagh, Co. Sligo tomorrow (Wednesday) morning at 11.00 o'clock. Interment afterwards in Corrig Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to North West Hospice, Sligo C/o any family member. May he Rest in Peace

Saddened to learn of Paul's death. He & I last met very briefly in 2011 in Sligo town when I was over from Canada on a touring trip with daughter Aoife. Memories of school days and early days in Carlow Rowing Club come flooding back. R.I.P.
