O'DONNELL - Berna, late of Knocknashee, Goatstown and Mount St. Anne's, Milltown with much cherished time enjoyed in Muineagh, Inishowen. On the first anniversary of the death of our dear mother, we, her children, Margaret, John, Barry and Brian, wish to express our deepest gratitude to all who contacted us at the time of our loss and in the year since. We express especial heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Four Ferns Nursing Home, Foxrock, in particular, Shimbi and MáirÃn, for their loving care of our mother in the final years of a long life, lived with great spirit. Berna thrived on family and friendship and we deeply appreciate the expressions of sympathy from her cousins and cousin-in-law, her nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews and from her very dear friend Sheila and her wide circle of friends and their families. Berna was the last surviving of her Carroll siblings and is sorely missed by the next generations, especially her beloved children and grandchildren - Siân, Conor, Sadhbh, Seamus, Sibéal, Iseult, Clara, Aifric, Kate and Olivia - and by her son-in-law, daughters-in-law and grandson-in-law. She will be ever in their hearts. We wish to express our sincere appreciation to Fr. Paul Kelly and the team at the Church of Sts Columbanus and Gall, Milltown, for celebrating a very moving Funeral Mass for Berna last May. 11.30am Mass will be offered for her on Sunday 11 May in the Church of Sts Columbanus and Gall, Milltown.Â
