Des will be missed by many in the law library and most particularly by colleagues on the Northern Circuit. Des was unique and I will miss his insights. There is nobody like Des. I would like to pass my sincere condolences to his sister Helen. Marita

My deepest sympathy to Helen. I knew Desmond very well in the late 1980s, and we remained solid friends down through the years to date, he was always a true friend, always there to support. One of the sincerest, kindest, most genuine persons. He will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace.

Deepest sympathy to Helen. I joined the law library on the same day as Desmond. He was a loyal and thoughtful friend and a lawyer who shared his knowledge generously. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
