McSHARRY, Brian (Rathfarnham Dublin, and former RTE Sports Commentator) December 19, 2017 (peacefully) at our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross. Gentle and loving husband of Helen and father of Rachel, Miriam and Luke and besotted grandad of Rocco and Indie. He will be sadly missed by his sons-in-law Rob and Adam, and his children Eithne, Michael, Ruaidhri, Ciaran, his brothers Tony and Neil, sisters-in-law Margaret and Jean, brother-in-law Jimmy, his relatives and friends. Predeceased by his daughter Deirdre and siblings Miriam and Michael. Funeral Service will take place this (Friday) morning at 11.00 am. in Dundrum Methodist Church, Ballinteer Road, followed by cremation at Mount Jerome Crematorium.

Helen, Rachel (and Rob), Miriam (and Adam), Luke and the extended family would like to thank sincerely all who sympathised with us and shared in our loss. Our thanks to Brian's GP, Dr Shane McKeogh, the medical teams in Tallaght Hospital and Our Lady's Hospice, Harold's Cross for their care and attention. Special thanks to Rev Stephen Taylor and our great friends in Dundrum Methodist Church who gave Brian and Helen such wonderful support and a fitting farewell to Brian. A huge thanks to all the friends and neighbours who helped in so many practical ways - we gratefully appreciate all this.
