MANSFIELD, Basil (Dartmouth Sq. Dublin 6) - August 3rd 2024, peacefully, in the presence of his family in Leeson Park Nursing Home, Dublin 6. Beloved husband of Maureen, cherished father of Simon, Nick, Andrew and Sarah and dear brother of Barbara. Predeceased by his siblings Berry, Canice, Margaret, Leo and Rosalie. Basil will be deeply missed by his wife and family, sister, son-in-law,grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, many friends and neighbours from Ballina, Co. Mayo, Rochestown in Cork, and Dublin. Reposing at Sean Feehily’s Funeral Home, Cartron Cross, Sligo F91EH98 today (Monday) August 5th from 3.30 to 5.00pm. Mass of the Resurrection at 11.30am on tomorrow (Tuesday) August 6th in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Sligo. Burial follows in Sligo Cemetery.

Maureen,Simon, Nick , Andrew, & Sarah , I am sad to hear of the death of your beloved dad Basil . I have fond memories of him from Dartmouth square and malaga .my toughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time . Basil fly high with the angels in heven !! RIP
