O'DWYER, Eamon K.S.G., K.C.S.S., (Professor Emeritus of Obstetrics and Gynaecology NUIG) December 20, 2017, (peacefully) at St. James's Hospital, Dublin after a short illness. Beloved husband of Joy and much loved father of Philip, Frank, Joe, Pat, Michael and the late Paul. Sadly missed by his wife and sons, daughters-in-law Jeanne, Jane, Teresa, Paula and Clodagh, his grandchildren Aisling, Rosie, Sinead, Nicholas, Catherine, Cian, Paul, Charlie and Ciara, his sisters-in-law Pauline, Patricia and Yvonne, his brother-in-law Peter, nieces and nephews and his many relatives and friends. Reposing at his home, Lr. Taylor's Hill, Galway from 4.00pm to 7.00pm today (Thursday). Removal to St. Joseph's Church, Presentation Road, Galway tomorrow (Friday) for Requiem Mass at 11.00 a.m. Funeral after Mass to Rahoon Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to St. Vincent de Paul or a charity of your choice.May he Rest in Peace.
O'DWYER Eamon. On Eamon's First Anniversary, Joy and his family would like to thank most sincerely all his many friends, relatives, colleagues and neighbours who sympathised with them on their sad loss, those who called to the house, attended the funeral services and sent letters of sympathy and Mass cards. We wish to thank the medical and nursing staff at the Galway Clinic and St. James's Hospital for their care during Eamon's last illness. We would like to thank Bishop Brendan Kelly for celebrating his funeral Mass with Canon Martin Downey, Canon Michael McLoughlin, Canon Martin Moran, Archdeacon Gary Hastings, the Very Reverend Robert McCarthy and Fr. Sean Ford. With a special thanks to Canon Martin for his support and friendship for Eamon over many years and in his final illness. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions.
