SHANNON, Micheal

SHANNON - Micheal (Ballaghaderreen, Co. Roscommon; Nantucket and

Connecticut, USA). Micheal died peacefully on December 14, 2021, in the Connecticut home of his daughter. He was the only son of the late Dr. Tom and Maud Shannon and was predeceased by his sisters Mary, Paddy and Mairead. He is sadly missed by his beloved daughter and son-in-law, Susan

and Dave Gilland; by his grandchildren, Kyle, Ellen and Damon, and his great-grandchildren, Arthur and George. He is also greatly missed by his sisters, Una Anderson (Ohio), Dawn Maggio (New Jersey), Ruth Leng (UK) and Anne (Achill), as well as by his nieces, nephews and a large circle of friends. Micheal was a well-known restaurateur and chef. He spent many years in Nantucket and is remembered there with great affection. Funeral has taken place in Connecticut.
