HIGGINS (Cork and Waterford) - January 14, 2016, peacefully, at Marymount University Hospital and Hospice, Kevin, Grantstown, Waterford, beloved husband for 61 years to Emer, much loved father of Patricia, Eavan and Fiona and loving brother of Brian and the late Denis. Sadly missed by his loving wife and daughters, brother, sons-in-law Brendan and Tadhg, grandchildren Kieran, Shane, Lisa and Ronan, great-grandchildren, extended family and friends. Lying in repose at the Wilton Funeral Home, Sarsfield Road, Cork of Jerh. O' Connor Ltd. Removal at 6.30pm this (Friday) evening to St. Joseph's SMA Church, Wilton, Cork. Requiem Mass at 10.00am tomorrow (Saturday). Funeral afterwards to St. Finbarr's Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in lieu to Marymount Hospice.May he rest in peace
HIGGINS Kevin (Liscannor Grantstown Waterford) January 14, 2016 - As we remember Kevin on this his First Anniversary, his wife Emer and daughters Patricia Eavan and Fiona along with his extended family would like to thank everyone for their kind expression of sympathy on Kevin's passing. Thank you to the many who sent Mass cards and letters of condolence and to those who attended his funeral service in Cork. Also, thank you to his good friends who kept him company during his long illness and to Br. Isadore for his friendship and kind words at Kevin's funeral service. A special thank you to the Waterford Hospice Homecare and Solas teams for the excellent care, kindness and support you always showed Kevin. To Dr. Brian Creedon (UHW) and Kevin's GP's Dr. P Walsh and Dr. D Brennan, our thanks. To the staff of Marymount Hospice, for the exceptional care and dignity you showed Kevin in the short time he was in your care we thank you most sincerely. And finally thank you to Brian O'Connor and the staff of Jer O'Connor Funeral Directors for your professionalism and care. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions.
