JOYCE - Anthony (Tony) who died on January 9, 2021 (Rathfarnham, Dublin and formerly of Foxford, Co. Mayo)
As we remember Tony on the first anniversary of his death, a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, his wife Phil, his daughters, Niamh, Róisín, Nessa and Sinéad, son-in-law Chris and Paul, his sister Eleanor, brother Tommie, sister-in-law Marie, grandchildren Cian, Nóinín, Naoise, Oscar and Fionn, and extended family wish to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with us on our sad loss. We were very grateful for all the tributes on RIP.ie, midwestradio.ie, the cards, letters, calls and messages of condolence. Thank you to our wonderful neighbours and friends who looked after us so well at that very difficult and sad time, and to all who stood outside our home, lined the route to the church and stood in the church grounds, your support was a great comfort to us. Remembering Tony’s beloved brother Canon Michael Joyce who was an incredible support to us, but who sadly passed away last March Rest In Peace. We miss you, your gentle guidance and wise words. A special thank you to all of the staff in Tallaght University Hospital, especially in the ICU, for the care and respect you showed to Tony and in taking the time to keep us informed daily. To the pastoral care team, thank you for your kindness and prayers. Thank you to Fr. Michael Coady who celebrated the funeral mass and to Ruth and Margaret for the most beautiful music and singing. We are grateful to Fanagans Funeral Directors for guiding us through that difficult time with sensitivity and respect. Please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our deep appreciation. The Holy sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions.
