Wow, it's been 13 years and we still think of you often. I always remember you telling me I would end up marrying Alex (Specialk) because I was always fighting with him and couldn't stand him. I didn't think you were funny when you said that. Well you probably know we have been married now for 12 years, and I know you think it's hilarious. Still thinking of you and thank you more than I can say for making me play with the man you somehow knew was my future husband.

Still missed

It's been a year since we lost you, and during the ups and downs one thing remained the same. You are missed today as much as you were a year ago. We talk about you all the time during raids, I play a dk tank now and I have my taurrean moments LOL. I know you watch us from where you are and probably roll your eyes and make your funny little comments like you used to do.

We love you, Taur, and we want you to know you will always be remembered.

Vanya

Dan

Sang

Slaveknight

Theo

Ail

Nirv

Spec

Thorn

Axi

Panda

Peace be with you,David.

I met David 10 years ago while I was a student nurse doing my placement in Dun Laoighre. It was only a 1 week placement but when i met David we hit it off and kept in touch for awhile after. We met for a few drinks in Bakers corner and had many a good evening. I lost touch with him when i went travelling and moved out of dublin. I only came across this death notice my accident. He was a lovely person who gave me the inspiration to carry on in my career whenever i was having a bad day. I wish I had kept in touch with him. My thought are with your parents and your brother. rest in peace David.x

wary is the step of the traveler for he knows not where his path may lead

ty for being the type of person everyone wants to meet. sometimes its hard to find kind-hearted, caring individuals in the world we live in. i only hope that you lived life the way you wanted and felt at least a fraction of the kindness you bestowed on others. may you rest in peace.

-Aaron Brennfoerder aka elv

Condolances from Belgian IT Pro's

We, Karel Vandenbussche, Joeri Robbrecht, Hans De pickere & Didier Van Hoye would like to offer our sincere condolances to the colleagues, friends and family of David. He was a smart, courageous man with a great sense of humor. We enjoyed his company a couple of times at IT conferences and kept in touch via mail. He'll be missed, far beyond Ireland. I hope you'll find some comfort in the fact that your friend and son was appreciated both professionally and personally by a lot of people.

RIP David - you will be missed

David was quite active in the SMB IT community both in Ireland and also around the world. Many people knew David through various online channels and a number of us had spoken with or met him personally. The enthusiasm he had for his work and his community has been an inspiration to many people. A number of people in the IT community have raised a glass in his honor this past week.

Not so many of us knew of his health issues – or the extent of those health issues. Those of us who did were even more inspired by his strength and determination to put this behind him and continue working on the community whilst in his hospital bed and recovering at home. David showed a strength (and sense of humor) to which we should all aspire.

I consider it an honor to be counted amongst David’s friends and he most definitely made all of our lives richer for knowing him.

RIP David – you will live on in our hearts.

BBL Doin Hood Rat Things

Even though our friendship was short, the impact will last for a lifetime. A piece of your beautiful spirit will be with us forever. Your laugh will ring in our memories and we will think of you often. Raiding with you was a blast and you will be sorely missed my friend.
