MARTIN - Joan (née Black) (Castleknock, Dublin and Clones, Co. Monaghan) As we approach the First Anniversary of Joan’s death (July 27), we, Joan’s husband Frank and her children, Frank, Mary, Brian, Jane and John along with Joan’s sister Ann and brother Gerard would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with us on Joan’s passing. To those who called to the house, attended Joan’s funeral Mass in Dublin and attended her burial in Clones we are most grateful. For those who wrote to us and sent messages of condolence your thoughts, shared memories and affection for Joan meant a lot to us. We wish to extend a special thank you to Dr Ted Keelan and to all the staff at the Mater and Connolly Hospitals for the exceptional care shown to Joan. To Joan’s carers we also extend a special thanks. Finally, we would like to say thank you to Father Denis O’Connor and to all who assisted with Joan’s funeral Mass and arrangements. As it is not possible to thank each of you individually, we hope that you will accept this acknowledgement as a heartfelt expression of our gratitude.
