FARRELL - Sean (Portmarnock) May 26, 2021. On the First Anniversary of Sean’s passing, Betty, Jennifer, Emmet and Sean would like to express our deepest appreciation to friends and family who supported us and sent messages, letters and cards of condolences. We thank Father Alan Hilliard for his heartfelt words and support he provided to Sean. We thank Dr. Martin O’Flynn, St. Francis Hospice, and all the nurses and carers who made Sean’s final days easier. We thank Sean’s colleagues at the Department of Foreign Affairs, all the members of the Second Tuesday’s Writing Group, and all our neighbours who enriched Sean’s life through the years and supported us as we came to terms with his death. Due to restrictions we did not get to celebrate Sean’s life in the manner we would have liked, so we are forever grateful for every kindness shown to Sean in his life and to us in our grief. We also thank Staffords Funeral Home for helping us say goodbye to Sean in those difficult days.
