McPOLAND - The death has occurred of John (formerly of Naas and Belfast), on July 19, 2025. John, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully, with his family present, while in the care of the staff at Watford General Hospital. John remains forever in the hearts of his loving wife Jules, son James, brothers and sisters Brenda, Tony, Paddy and Maureen and his late Mum and Dad, Kathleen and Barney. Our John will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews Ben, Amy, Izzy, Georgia, Adam and Tilly, his in-laws Aldagh, Phoebe, Aidan and Tim and extended family and friends. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude for the care, compassion and dignity shown to John by the staff at Watford General Hospital and also for the care received from the team at the Royal Free Hospital since his transplant in 2019, which added years to his life. Johns Funeral will take place in Hemel Hempstead Crematorium, Bedmond Road, Hemel Hempstead, HP3 8LL at 3pm on Monday September 1, 2025. A Celebration of Life will also be held in Dublin on Friday October 17, 2025. Donations, if desired, to Royal Free Hospital, a charity very close to John.
