QUINN, Michael (Summerville Drive, Waterford, late of the Irish Independent Newspaper) - Who died, July 14, 2020, peacefully at home surrounded by his family after bravely fighting a long illness, Michael, much loved husband of Brigid, and wonderful father of Michael, Sheila, Sarah, Annie and David, father-in-law to Kevin, Simon, Angelo and Jessica and a much loved grandfather to Katie, Molly, Bella, Michael, Melanie, Robert, Charlie and Sam, brother Gerard, sisters Pat, Anne and Laura (late), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends. Private funeral will take place on Thursday 16th July at 2.15pm in the Friends Meeting House, Waterford followed by burial in Friends Burial Ground, Newtown. Michael’s funeral will leave his residence at 2.00 pm on Thursday. The family would like to thank Dr. Miriam O’Connor and all the magnificent staff at University Hospital Waterford and the Irish Cancer Society. No flowers, please. Donations to Irish Cancer Society if you wish. Due to H.S.E. guidelines the funeral Mass and burial will be private to the immediate family.
