KEATING Seamus (Model Farm Road, Cork) - Died December 26, 2011. As we remember Seamus on the first anniversary of his death, we, Alison, David and Fiona, would like to acknowledge and express our warmest appreciation to all those who offered their sympathy and support to us in so many ways during the time of our sad loss and throughout the past year. We appreciate every letter, phone call, visit and prayer offered. This was a great source of comfort to us all. Thank you to all who attended the Funeral Liturgies, sent Mass and sympathy cards. A special thanks to our wonderful family, relatives, neighbours and friends who supported both Seamus and us during his time in hospital and since his passing. We thank the doctors and staff of Cork University Hospital, the Mater Hospital, the National Rehabilitation Hospital and St Vincent's University Hospital for their expert, kind and dignified care of Seamus. A sincere thank you to Dr Lettice O'Leary and staff who cared for Seamus's patients with professionalism and compassion in difficult circumstances. Thanks also to the many patients and friends who wrote such kind letters to Seamus while he was in hospital. He truly appreciated them. Our gratitude extends to Fr. Tom Clancy and Fr. John Humphreys who officiated at the funeral ceremonies, to Catherine Leonard, Mary Hegarty and Noel Somers for their beautiful musical tribute to Seamus at his funeral Mass. We acknowledge the expertise and kindness of the staff of O'Connor's Funeral Directors, Wilton and thank sincerely Dan O'Sullivan and the staff of the Maryborough Hotel for their warm welcome and hospitality after the funeral. As it is not possible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will convey our thanks and appreciation to all. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions.Requiescat in Pace

My belated condolences to his wife and family from his boyhood friend from the town of Callan Co kilkenny. What an idyllic childhood we both had in the town of Callan. Séamus was a genius and the hurling games we had in the fair green of Callan. Many years ago. Rest easy amigo
