DEVINE, (née Williams), Gabrielle (Gay), (Corbawn, Shankill) - December 20, 2023. Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, after a short illness borne with her characteristic good humour and unwavering determination. Dearly cherished wife of Eddie and beloved mother of Stephen. Gay will be forever missed by her sisters Anne and Ger, brothers Tom and Aidan, Stephen’s fiancée Rachel, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours and wide circle of friends. Rest in Peace. Gay will be reposing on tomorrow evening (Friday) December 22, from 5pm to 7pm at Carnegies Funeral Home, Monkstown A94 XK28. Funeral Mass at 11am on Saturday (December 23) in St. Anne’s Church, Shankill followed by burial at Kilternan Cemetery Park, Ballycorus Road. Family flowers only. Donations, in lieu, to Our Lady’s Hospice Blackrock and the RNLI. “Live in the sunshine, swim the sea, drink the wild air.”

On the occasion of her First Anniversary, we her family would like to express our most heartfelt thanks to all of Gay's wide circle of friends, those who attended at Gay's funeral, sent expressions of sympathy, and have been so very kind to us, both during Gay's illness and over the past year. A special thanks to Fr Michael O'Sullivan P.P. and Fr Gerry Fleming who celebrated Gay's Funeral Mass, and have been such a fantastic support to us.
Our sincere gratitude to Dr Lisa Prior, all of the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Beacon Hospital for their care and kindness to Gay. We are further so grateful for the support and care shown to Gay and us by the team of Our Lady's Hospice, Blackrock. Thank you to Carnegies Funeral Directors, in particular Graham, Jodi, and Brian, for your professionalism, care, and advice in organising Gay's Funeral. Please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of sincere gratitude for the support and kindness we have received. Gay's Anniversary Mass will be celebrated in St Anne's Church, Shankill, on Sunday, December 22nd at 10am.
