RYAN, Dr. Catherine

RYAN Dr. Catherine Christine (Cathleen) (née Barry) passed away March 25, 2016 following a three-year battle with pancreatic cancer. Born December 20, 1928 in Dublin, Ireland to Hannah Mary Prendeville and Joseph Barry, and pre-deceased by her husband of 57 years, Dr. James Vincent Ryan of St. John's NL, Cathleen will be sadly missed by her family in Toronto, Barry Ryan (Beth Harrington), Siobhán Ryan (David Lever), Kathleen Ryan, Charlotte Ryan and Maggie Lever, and her family in Ireland, Joan Ruane, Carmel Corish (Paddy), David Barry, Anne Barry and Eileen Barry as well as many nieces and nephews. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and great-aunt whose warmth will be profoundly missed. Visitation will be held at Mount Pleasant Visitation Centre, 375 Mt Pleasant Rd, Toronto on Wednesday, April 6, from 7.00 to 9.00pm. A private funeral service and interment will follow.
