We deeply appreciated the large numbers who attended his Requiem Mass, including those who travelled long journeys, especially from Melbourne, Kuala Lumpur, Utrecht and London. We sincerely thank Fr. Paddy Sheehan, Chief Celebrant, assisted by Fr. Tony Coote, Fr. Frank Herron, Fr. Pádraig Audley, Fr. Ciarán Blake and Rev. Clive Jeffers, and are most appreciative of the prayerful support of Mons. Ardle Mac Mahon, Mons. Ciarán O'Carroll, Rev. Anne-Marie O'Farrell, Fr. Colm Canavan and Mary Mc Glynn. Our thanks to our wonderful neighbours and community, to Patricia Jackman, Bonnie O'Sullivan, Phyllis Troy, Marie Mc Donald, former colleagues in Rannóg an Aistriúcháin, Dáil Éireann, Staff of Loughlinstown Hospital and Fr. Des Farren, Dr. Edmond O'Flaherty, An Gárda Síochána, C.P.R. Team, Neil Massey and Massey Funeral Homes, and Dominic Lee, all of whom offered exceptional kindness, hospitality and professional expertise. We are most thankful to the musicians Niamh Murray, Zena Donnelly, Lucy Perkins, Eoin Hynes and organist Éilis Hannon, and also to the Church of St. Thérèse Senior Choir, director Liz O'Connor, whose moving musical contributions enhanced the liturgies of both the Requiem Mass and the Month's Mind Mass. We will always remember in a special way Mícheál Gabriel's deep love of his native Carraroe, its people, Irish language, music and culture. His first anniversary Mass will be offered in the Church of St. Thérèse, Mount Merrion on Sunday, 25th January 2015 at 10 o'clock. Masses will continue to be offered in gratitude for the intentions of all."Ó bhás go críoch, ní críoch ach athfhás"
