FLYNN, Maurice, (Sutton, Dublin and formerly of Dunmore, Co. Galway), (peacefully) in Beaumont Hospital on June 15, 2017, after a long and courageous battle. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend Margaret (née Hillery), children Mary, Claire, John, Paul, Ann, Caroline, Hilary. His ten cherished grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his sister Peggy Flynn and brother Ted Flynn, brothers-in-law Gerry Hillery, Fr. Michael Hillery, Sean Hillery. Reposing this (Friday) afternoon in Stafford's Funeral home, Strand Road, Portmarnock from 5.30 o'c until 7.00 o'clock Requiem Mass at 10 o'c tomorrow (Saturday) morning in St. Fintan's Church, Sutton, followed by burial at St. Fintan's Cemetery, Sutton. Family flowers only - Donations if desired to St. Brigid's Ward (HDU), Beaumont Hospital. House private. May his gentle soul Rest in Peace.

Lovingly remembered on the first anniversary of his death (June 15, 2017), his wife Margaret and family wish to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with us on our sad loss, those who sent Mass and sympathy cards, letters of condolence, those who travelled long distances to be with us, and all who attended the funeral home, funeral Mass and burial. Sincere thanks to Dr. Margaret O'Brien and the Neurology team, ICU, St. Brigid's Ward HDU and the Chaplaincy at Beaumont Hospital for their care and attention to Maurice throughout his long illness. Special thanks to Fr. Liam Lacey and Fr. Des Hillery for concelebrating the funeral Mass, St. Fintan's Choir Sutton for enhancing the liturgy with their music and Staffords Funeral Directors for their professional help. Please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our heartfelt gratitude for all the support, kindness and sympathy we received over the past year. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions.May his gentle soul
