O'CONNOR Christy Snr. -Died May 14, 2016. Mary, Marguerite, Therese, Joan, Christopher, Peter and the family would like to thank all of our relatives and friends who supported us through Christy's illness. Thank you to all who sent Mass cards and messages of sympathy, we really appreciated this and the huge attendance at the wake and the Funeral Mass. A special thank you to all the priests in St. John the Baptist Church in Clontarf, especially Fr. Martin, for a very moving Funeral Mass, and to Dermot Malone and Brian Furlong (The Furrier) for their beautiful singing and playing. We especially want to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff of The Mater Hospital (Stroke Unit) for their great kindness to Christy and all the family during that very difficult time. Thanks to all our friends and neighbours in Clontarf for their very kind wishes. We cannot say enough about the incredible support and love received from Christy's friends in The Royal Dublin Golf Club, from the national and international Golfing Fraternity and the outpouring of support from all his fans from all over the world. We would also like to thank Peter Fanagan and the excellent team at Kirwans Funeral Directors who eased us through the funeral arrangements. Many thanks to all who generously donated to The Mater Hospital Stroke Care Unit in Christy's memory. As it would be impossible to thank you all individually we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by you as a token of our heartfelt appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all your intentions.
