KENNY, Mrs. Mary Eithne (Derrycoosh, Castlebar). November 26, 2011. We, the family and relatives of the late Mary Eithne Kenny, wish to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with us on our recent sad bereavement. Those who sent Mass cards and certificates, letters of sympathy, text messages and donations for the Council for the Blind. A special word of thanks to the President of Ireland Mr. Michael D. Higgins, and his wife Sabina, who attended the removal to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar, former President Mrs Mary McAleese, and her husband Senator Martin, the British Ambassador Julian King, who attended the concelebrated funeral Mass and to Archbishop Michael Neary who attended at the funeral home. Also to members of the Government, Army, Gardai and Naval personnel who attended together with the many public representatives. Thanks to those who travelled long distances to attend the removal, concelebrated funeral Mass and burial and to all those who queued long and patiently at the funeral home on Sunday. A special word of thanks to Rev. Fr. Pat Donnellan, P.P., Islandeady, Rev. John Cosgrove, P.P., Castlebar and to all the clergy who concelebrated Mass. A warm appreciation to Frankie Forde Waldron and her choir who sang beautifully at the funeral Mass. Thanks also to the staff and carers of Claremont Nursing Home, Claremorris, St. Attracta's Nursing Home, Charlestown, Cuan Cathriona Nursing Home, Castlebar and to the nurses and staff of Mayo General Hospital, Castlebar. A particular thanks to her doctors, Dr. Cyril Rooney, Dr. Frank Davey, Dr. Patrick Healy, Dr. Brid O'Malley and her lifelong friend Dr. Richard Tobin, Snr. and her many special friends among The Sisters of Mercy. The arrangements would not have been possible without the help of An Garda Siochana, Civil Defence, and Order of Malta together with members of local organisations including Fine Gael. The funeral directors, Adrian and Dermot Coady, of Coady's Funeral Home are thanked sincerely for all their invaluable help and attention to detail. As it would be impossible to thank all individually we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted by all in grateful appreciation and thanks. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for their intentions. Months Mind Mass will be offered for Mary Eithne in St. Patrick's Church, Islandeady on Friday December 30, 2011 at 3 p.m.
