Devoted pastor with world concerns

Robert Dunlop was devoted to his congregation, much concerned about them. He was able to see the issues coming in the Irish setting and to work at them with other Christian groups. He was often misunderstood in such efforts. He and Olive were very warmly hospitable and Elizabeth and I received their ministry a number of times during our two years in Ireland. Harold Bauman, Goshen, IN, USA

Kind, gentle man

We were students together at TCD. I will remember Robert as a upright, honourable and fundamentally decent man who always had a kind word and listening ear.

Underneath are the Everlasting Arms

His body was weak but he took joy in having the mind of Christ Jesus. From the days of open air preaching. Also the memorable Church mobile. He was a convinced Anabaptist/ Baptist. He was not afraid to enjoy the company of those who disagreed with him. He was neither Catholic or Protestant and was an eirenical Dissenter. He loved his neighbourhood its history and people.

He has not passed away, no he has died in space time history. Is death the end? No he will be raised incorruptible...I believe in the resurrection of the body...
