HIGGINS, Cathal (Rathfarnham Dublin) March 12, 2020 (peacefully) in the wonderful care of the staff of Our lady’s Hospice and Care Services, beloved and caring husband of Mary, he will be sadly missed by daughters Suzanne and Jane, grandchildren Julien, Emma, Clara and John, brothers Tom and Pat, sisters Catherine and Geraldine, son-in-law Lee, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Rest in Peace. A private Funeral will take place due to Government advice regarding public gatherings. Donations if desired to the Irish Motor Neurone Association.

HIGGINS - Cathal, (Rathfarnham) (Second Anniversary March 12, 2020). You will always be remembered by your loving wife Mary, daughters Suzanne, Jane, grandchildren and extended family. We miss you so much. You lost your hard fought battle against MND. If love could save you, you would have lived forever.
HIGGINS - Cathal (late of Rathfarnham and formerly St. Patrick's College, Drumcondra). On Cathal's First Anniversary (March 12, 2020) his beloved wife Mary, children Suzanne, Jane, sons-in-law, his cherished grandchildren Julien, twins Emma, Clara and adored John, brothers, sisters and extended family would like to acknowledge with sincere gratitude and appreciation all who sympathised with us on Cathal's death. Thank you to all those who have shown us so much kindness and support over the time of Cathal's illness and subsequent death. We wish to express our sincere thanks to all who sent Mass cards and messages of sympathy. We especially thank Fr. Pat McGeever for the care, compassion and support shown to Cathal in his final months and for saying his funeral Mass. Thanks also to Beaumont Hospital and the dedicated team of the Motor Neurone Association, the Doctors and nurses in Our Lady's Hospice, Harold's Cross. We hope you will accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our gratitude. Mass will be celebrated in St. Teresa's Church, Clarendon Street, on Sunday, March 14 for Cathal's First Anniversary.
