BLAYNEY, Rachel (Blackrock, Co. Dublin) Tuesday July 26, 2022. Beloved mother of Sebastian, Lauren and Diana, daughter of Anne and the late Alexander and adored sister of Richard Alexander and the late Suzanne. She will be sadly missed by her children, her mother, her brother, daughter-in-law Karina, son-in-law Michael, grandchildren August and Leo, and by her warrior cousins and friends, who stayed strong, kept a brave face, but mostly, gave her joy. May Rachel rest in joy and love. Funeral Mass today (Friday) at 11:30 AM in The Church of St. Therese, Mount Merrion followed by burial in Deans Grange Cemetery. For those that cannot attend, the Mass can be viewed online using the following link: https://www.mountmerrionparish.ie/webcam/. Messages to the family can be left in the 'Condolences' section. Rachel would love a single flower from everyone's garden.

BLAYNEY - Rachel - On her First Anniversary. Sadly missed, but remembered with joy and love by all who knew her, especially her mother Anne, her children Sebastian, Lauren and Diana, their partners Karina and Michael, her grandsons August and Leo, her brother Alec and the ‘warrior’ cousins and friends who brought her so much joy.

“What do we do

when our hearts hurt?”

asked the boy.

“We wrap them with friendship,

shared tears and time,

until they wake

hopeful and happy again".

Dear Anne, Alexander, Sebastian, Lauren and Diana. Please accept my most profound condolences. Rachel was a remarkable woman, courageous in dealing with her cancer, so optimistic and generous despite all that was having to deal with in the last few years. I will always remember the holidays that we shared as children, the conversations that we had in the last few years. I am sorry that I will not be there in person this morning, I am sending my thoughts from rural Tanzania. Take care of yourselves. Charles
