McCARTHY John B.E., P.Grad.Dip, CEng FIEI MSB, (Rathmichael, Dublin 18), July 29, 2017 (suddenly and unexpectedly). Devoted husband to Mary for over thirty­three years, loving and gentle father to Eoghan, Corry, Connor, Kate, Ellen and Charlie. Beloved son of Teresa and the late Mike McCarthy of Ballinasloe. Dearest brother to Miriam, Michelle, Michael and Patrice. Deeply regretted by his Aunties Kitty and Loretta and all his extended family. A respected civil engineer who will be dearly missed by all that had the pleasure to work with him within the Priority Group. An international ranked master's swimmer; both renowned and admired on the Leinster Open Sea Water scene. John was a perfectionist in all the facets of all which he engaged in; whether it was Family, Business or Sport. Reposing at his home today (Wednesday) from 5.00pm until 7.00pm. Removal tomorrow (Thursday) morning to Church of Our lady of Perpetual Succour, Foxrock arriving at 11.20am for Requiem Mass at 11.30am followed by burial in Kilternan Park Cemetery.May he Rest in Peace.
