KIRLEY - – Tom (Foxrock, Dublin 18, An Rinn, Co. PhortLáirge, and formerly of Ballyknockin, Geashill, Co. Offaly). First Anniversary May 17, 2021. Tom is missed deeply by his beloved wife Mary, daughters Edel and Brenda, son Hugh, daughter-in-law Nicola, grand-children Ciarán, Alice, Eli, Hugo and Lyla, sister Marie and brother Liam and is remembered warmly by extended family members, former colleagues in Teagasc, Gorta and the RDS and his wide circle of friends including those in Knockbeg College PPU and Preamble Wine Club.
Tom’s family would like to offer our sincere gratitude and appreciation to all those who cared for him and supported us during this last year. Thank you to the wonderful medical teams in St. Vincent’s Private Hospital and Tallaght University Hospital who treated Tom during his illness and to those who supported us in bringing him home for his final days: the Primary Care Team, Stillorgan; the Community Palliative Care team from Blackrock Hospice; the carers; and his very special niece-nurse Shauna. Thank you to our neighbours and friends who found so many ways to support us despite the restrictions and constraints of this last year. Our thanks also to all those who phoned and texted, sent sympathy cards and left messages of condolences on RIP.ie. Your thoughts and kind words meant so much to us. Special thanks to Fr Conor McGee and to Phil Reilly, Funeral Director, for guiding us through the days after Tom’s death with such kindness and compassion. Mass has been offered in thanks for your care and support.
