BOWEN Nora (Sutton, Dublin). Nora's husband Pat, son James, daughter Lorna, daughter-in-law Helen, her brother Fr. Séamus Meehan (Dungloe) and her sister Kathleen Finnegan (Galway), wish to acknowledge all the wonderful kindness and support we have received as we try to come to terms with the loss of out darling Nora. We appreciate so much the letters, Mass cards and messages sent to us, and those who sent donations to Cancer Research in lieu of flowers. We are particularly grateful to family, friends and neighbours from near and far, who called to the house to say goodbye and who came to the funeral and to Sutton Golf Club to give her the kind of send-off she would have enjoyed. It reflected the deep love and affection Nora was held in by all who knew her. We are extremely grateful to Nora's GP, Dr. Sinéad Hussey and all the doctors and nurses, and in particular to Professor Ray McDermot, in the Day Oncology Ward at St Vincent's Private Hospital, for their tender care of Nora. We also want to thank all the wonderful people in Hospital Particular Do Algarve and at the Hotel Quinta do Lago in Portugal for all their kindness and to acknowledge how much the professional services we received from Irish Life Health and Kirwans Funeral Services meant to us in Nora's final treatment, repatriation and funeral. We also wish to say a special thank you to Fr. Liam Lacy and to our beautiful singer Fidelma Kelly, who gave us such a special funeral Mass at St. Fintan's Church. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgment will be accepted as a sincere thank you and a token of our heartfelt appreciation.Perhaps you sent a funeral spray
If so we saw it there.
Perhaps you spoke the kindest words
As any friend would say.
Perhaps you were not there at all
Just thought about us that day
Whatever you did to console our hearts
We thank you so very much.
