JONES, KCHS., The Very Reverend Aidan G. Canon Jones, (Gorey and late of Banview, Kilanerin, Gorey, Co. Wexford), October 13 2016. The Family of the late Canon Aidan wish to extend their sincere gratitude to everyone who expressed sympathy on their recent sad bereavement of Canon Aidan. On behalf of Aidan's brother Ted, sister Annette and extended family they wish to express thanks to relations, neighbours and friends who helped and supported us in so many ways prior to and after the funeral for which we are forever grateful. Thanks to Denis, Bishop of Ferns, Bishop Michael Burrows, his brother priests and the clergy of all denominations. His fellow Knights and Dames of the order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem and Friendly Brothers of St. Patrick, his Ecumenical friends and a large circle of friends who travelled from far and near to his funeral Mass. We would like to thank Fr. James Murphy PP for his help in preparing Aidan's Mass and to everyone who contributed to the liturgy, especially Reverend Nigel Waugh for the eulogy. We particularly would like to thank Reverend Nigel Waugh and his wife Heather, also John and Gerard for their kindness to Aidan and ourselves in helping with the arrangements for Aidan's journey home to his family. Thanks also to Fr. Berney PP. The Parish of Kilanerin for the use of the Church and Hall. To all who provided refreshments, sent Mass cards, offered condolences and kind words and helped in any way. Also thanks to Aiden Murphy, Funeral Director and the gravediggers. As it is impossible to thank all those concerned individually please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our heartfelt appreciation. Mass has been offered for your intentions. Canon Aidan's months mind Mass will take place on Friday, November 18 at 7.30 pm n St. Peter and Paul's Church Kilanerin.
