Good Man Ticker

I have just learned of Eugene's death.

Although we were not close in recent years we had been good friends - buddies - in our formative years. Eugene was a good, straight man. While he enjoyed life, where possible, his main focus was to make as much as he could of the gift of life.

He worked at his chemistry, he worked at his school-teaching and when he fell in love with Roisín she became, and remained, the centre of his life.

His life was a success, as a teacher, as a husband, and as a father of four gilt-edged children (whose excellence he always attributed to Roisín )

The bombs are falling all around us, there is no point in running for cover.

Michael Ferran (34270 Vacquières. Hérault)
