MURPHY - Michael, Westport, Co. Mayo and formerly of Sligo and Dublin. (Died August 7, 2023)

As we treasure the memory of Michael on his first anniversary, his wife Sheila together with his children, Niamh, Alan, Barry and Jenny and his wider family wish to thank most sincerely all our friends, neighbours and Michael’s colleagues who sympathised with us on our sad loss. We wish to thank especially Fr. Anthony King, who celebrated Michael’s Mass and burial and for his consoling words and support. Thanks also to Fr. Jim Walsh, Rev. Suzanne Cousins and Rev. Val Rogers for their contribution and presence at the Mass. We would like to extend our thanks to all who cared for Michael in Mayo General Hospital Castlebar and University Hospital Galway, especially Dr. Nunez and her team, and in Westport to Ollie Whyte’s team, especially Dr. Lucy Hurley. A special thank you to funeral director Adrian McGing, who took care of Michael’s removal and burial in a most dignified and sympathetic way. Thanks to everyone who called to the house and sympathised with us, to those who have sent very many beautiful letters and Mass cards, for which we are most grateful. Thank you for your comfort and support. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
