SHIEL, Mary (née O’Dea) – September 5, 2021. (Late of Foxrock, Co. Dublin), peacefully at St. Vincent’s Hospital, with her family by her side. Predeceased by her husband Syl. Deeply regretted by her children Máire (Ní Shiodhail), John and Ruth, her grandchildren Ciarán and his wife Aisling, David and Paula, son-in-law Cathal and daughter-in-law Rhona, nieces, nephews and her devoted carer Troni. Not forgetting Susie her beloved cat. May she rest in Peace. Removal this morning (Tuesday) from MasseyBros Blackrock to the Church of Perpetual Succour Foxrock for Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. followed by burial thereafter at Shanganagh Cemetery. The capacity of the church is limited to 50%, but the Funeral Mass can be viewed live using the parish webcam available at https://church services.tv/foxrock or alternatively on www.https://foxrockparishchallenges.com/home/webcam/. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul.

Mary's family wish to thank all those who visited the funeral home, attended her funeral in person or online, placed messages of condolence on RIP.ie, phoned, sent letters, texts, sympathy and Mass cards. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and caring staff at St Vincent's University Hospital and to Troni who assisted Mum in her home. To Fr Kieran Dunne who celebrated Mum's Funeral Mass, to the sacristy team and to Eithne McManus who presided at the graveside. Thanks to Eoin Hynes and Goretti Newell for the beautiful music and to all at Massey Bros whose help and support was invaluable to us. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
