Godspeed, Des...

" Just yesterday morn, they let me know you had gone...

" I have seen fire & rain, but I always thought I would see you again."

Des, Eidin`s Dad, was one of few words, so sitting with him was a breeze in the beginning for he did not like to talk too much. He would dry wittedly quip that he had enough of those who did.

I would chuckle for I was a listener as well.

In time with my visits & Christmas phone calls, expected/unexpected visits to crash at their house in the month of July 1982 Dalkey after they had found a home for my 1st exhange student, walks to Bray on a Sunday morn to have a pint, conversations on Spain because of his inquisitive nature on sporadic visits with my mom in 1998, my brother & his family in 2000, & lastly in June of 2009 on going to a wedding in Wexford.

He loved Rugby & would pull my leg about Fergues Slattery... private joke.

I would see Katheleen, Dierdre,Ronan & Niall... plus husbands wives & grand kids... Crazy.

I was at my Home away from home away from home...

To me, no one leaves for my thought process sees one as he was & is...

We can converse to make it a breeze...
