LYONS, Gerald Dominic, (Tramore, Co. Waterford and formerly Sandycove, Co Dublin), April 23, 2016 in his 73rd year. Peacefully at home. Sadly missed by his loving wife Helen, his children Jack, Hugh and Valerie (Farrell), his brothers John and Danny, daughters-in-law Melanie and Amanda, son-in-law, Graham, his seven grandchildren and his extended family and friends. Predeceased by his brother Raymond. Removal arriving at Holy Cross Church, Tramore at 7.00 p.m. today (Monday). Requiem Mass at 10.00 a.m. tomorrow (Tuesday) followed by burial at the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to Waterford Hospice. On the First Anniversary of Ger's death, Helen, Jack, Hugh, Valerie and the extended Lyons family wish to express our sincere thanks to all who supported us during Ger's illness, sympathised with us and attended the funeral services. Thank you to Tramore Golf Club for their Guard of Honour. Sincere gratitude to all those who cared for Ger especially Dr. David Slattery, the doctors and nurses at University Hospital Waterford, the Palliative Care Team, the community care nurses and carers, the hospice nurses and the Solas Centre Waterford. We thank Monseigneur O'Mahony, Fr. O'Neill, Sisters Carmel and Mary and Fr. John Heffernan O.P. The holy sacrament of the Mass will be offered for your intentions. Your kindness will always be remembered.Requiescat in Pace.
