DALY, Leslie (Rathmines, Dublin 6) – June 13, 2018 (peacefully) in the tender care of the ICU staff at Beaumont Hospital. Beloved husband of Anne (Dodd), loving father of Erika and Selena. Sadly missed by his wife, daughters, sister Grace, sons-in-law Liam FitzGerald and Andrea Ballatore, grandchildren Iseult and Hugh, brothers-in-law Stephen and Finian, sister-in-law Mary, nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues at University College Dublin. Funeral Service today (Monday) at 10 am at the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome, Harold’s Cross, Dublin 6W followed by burial at the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired, to the Beaumont Hospital Foundation or the Mater Foundation.

I will always remember when I started working in UCD Earlsfort Terrace, Leslie and I had lunch together most days. He was so kind to me as I started out on my academic career. Rest in peace Leslie. Mary Rose Sweeney.

From Dr Geoffrey and Siobhan Carroll: Leslie was very special to us during a key stage in our lives and in his too.We lived and worked together and we supported each other including at the onset of his Diabetes and in his career choice.
