LAYDEN - Dermot, (Rose Hill, Sligo and formerly of Lecarrow, Co. Leitrim) May 29, 2026 passed away so very gently at home, where he was lovingly cared for by his family. Predeceased by his adored wife Beatrice, parents Patrick and Mary Jane (Maura), brothers Vincent, Patrick and Edmund, sisters Harriet and baby Mildred. Deeply loved father of David (Marina), Dervila (Michael), Conor (Nessa), Aisling (Seán) and Ciara (Frank) and beloved grandfather of Andrei, Aoife, Liam, Anthony, Lily and Marin. Deeply missed by his sisters Sr. Imelda, Margaret and Mary, brother Joe, relatives, friends and neighbours. May his gentle soul rest in peace. "A legacy of gratitude and gentleness". Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 2.00pm today Tuesday June 2 in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Sligo.
