WATERS Ormonde D.P. Passed away peacefully in Perth, Western Australia, January 3, 2015. Son of the late Eaton William Waters and Anna Martin Waters (née Orr) of 'Brideweir', Aghern, Co. Cork. A prominent Irish intellectual, humanitarian, historian, writer and ballad singer. Ormonde was the pre-eminent authority on the life and works of John Boyle O'Reilly, the Catalpa Rescue and the lives of the 62 Fenian political prisoners transported to Western Australia onboard the Hougoumont. Survived by his wife Mina (née Byrne) and children Annette, Ormonde, Adrian and Mina.
