McGOWAN Suzanne (November 16, 2014) - The members of the Teresian Association, together with Suzanne's family, wish to express our gratitude and deep appreciation to all who shared our sorrow and supported us when Suzanne died. Her former colleagues in the Teresian School, her friends, who span the years from Balbriggan days to recent past pupils, Teresian Association members world-wide, neighbours and so many others feel her loss deeply. Thank you to all who came from far and near for her removal and funeral, sent Mass cards and letters, posted on Facebook and RIP.ie. Your number bears witness to how many lives Suzanne touched. Donations to Trócaire and the Society of St Vincent de Paul are acknowledged with gratitude; they were a fitting tribute to Suzanne's spirit of justice and generosity. We thank all those who cared for Suzanne with skill and sensitivity: her GP, Dr. Damien Rutledge, Dr. Peter Lenehan and Mr Brian Mehigan, the medical, nursing and other staff in the Blackrock Clinic and St. James's Hospital. Thank you to all who made Suzanne's funeral celebrations so uplifting and memorable, especially the staff and students of the Teresian School whose choir sang so beautifully at the funeral Mass. Thank you to Fr. Conleth Meehan of Kilmacud who led the celebrations, and to Msgr Richard Sherry, Msgr Paul Callan, Fr. Patrick Doherty PP, Fr. Conor Harper SJ and Fr. Albert Escoto SVD who concelebrated. Thanks are also expressed to the Kilmacud Funeral Ministry Team for their assistance and to Fanagans Funeral Directors, Dundrum, who were most attentive and helpful. May our memories of Suzanne's vibrant spirit, her kindness and her abiding faith continue to console us all.Ar dheis Dé go raibh sí.
