FITZPATRICK John "Biffo" (Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin, late of Lisburn and Ballycastle) - September 4, 2012; peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Hilary, loving father of Jamie, Katy and Daniel. Very sadly missed by his wife, children, brother James, sisters Margaret, Catherine and Colette, his nieces, nephews, relatives and many colleagues and friends, especially Dennis and Ann. Removal on Friday to the Dublin Unitarian Church, St. Stephen's Green arriving for 11 o'c Service followed by cremation in Mount Jerome Crematorium. No flowers please, donations, if desired to the Blackrock Hospice.

<p>Great shock - will be sorely missed by many</p> <p>I didn't even know that John was ill. I am so sorry - he was such a great colleague, and will be sorely missed by many. John provided great support to me 2005-2008 during my time as head of a new School in TCD. John was always lots of fun to be with, even in the longest and potentially most tedious of meetings. I will never forget his kindnesses to me.</p>
