HUGHES, Fr Augustine O.F.M., Franciscan Friary, Clonmel, Co Tipperary and formerly Gormanston College, Co Meath. December 28, 2019. Peacefully at Rathkeevan Nursing Home, Clonmel. Sadly missed by his brother Gerard, sister-in-law Gemma, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, his Franciscan brothers, extended family and friends. Rest in Peace. Requiem Mass will take place on Saturday January 4, 2020 in the Franciscan Friary, Clonmel at 12 noon. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis. Enquiries to Condons Funeral Directors Ltd @ 052 6122864.

Great memories of Gus from my time as a pupil in Gormanston. He was head of Clann Mhuire for 4 of my 5 years there and also in charge of our table tennis team. A very fine man who helped everyone in hisquiet calm way. R.I.P. Brian O’ Connor
